Does anyone know if the lower warm air guides(parts 11 and 12 in the diagram) are crucial for either engine ccoling or cabin heating? Mine are missing and my car runs a little hot, so I didn't know if having these would make a difference.

They put them there for a reason. Not sure if it's for proper cooling or to protect the push rod tubes but I drove my car for two years before I realized they were missing. After installation I didn't see any noticeable changes in temp.
