I remember seeing a thread on how the 944 seat belts can be modified to fit nicely in the 914. As I understand it, the only real "mod" is grinding off the locating post on the back of the retractor.

Can anyone verify this?

Late 924 belts or any 944 belts will both work, but there's no need to remove the locating stud....just drill the locating HOLE a tad bigger, bolt the belts up and be happy. I just did this on my latest car and it takes about ten seconds per side.
If you don't tell the CWs, they'll never suspect a thing...well, except for the different receivers, that is... You DO have the 944 receivers?
