I remember seeing a thread on how the 944 seat belts can be modified to fit nicely in the 914. As I understand it, the only real "mod" is grinding off the locating post on the back of the retractor.
Can anyone verify this? |

Late 924 belts or any 944 belts will both work, but there's no need to remove the locating stud....just drill the locating HOLE a tad bigger, bolt the belts up and be happy. I just did this on my latest car and it takes about ten seconds per side.
If you don't tell the CWs, they'll never suspect a thing...well, except for the different receivers, that is... You DO have the 944 receivers? |
