Part two of the video diaries ...
we started in Rhonert Park and cut over to the coast, then drove up north on Hwy 1 along the coast. beautiful drive! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) it took me a while to figure out the camera. i had to hold it in my right hand, steering only with my left hand. for most of the time, i stayed in 4th gear (yes, FOURTH), except for a few times where i had to downshift. about half way through the video, i get a bit more comfortable with that setup. as you can also see and hear, i was still trying to take it easy on the engine. you'll have to wait for Part 3 to hear her roar! hey andy, does your new engine give your car that "herky jerky" effect in the lower gears? i thought i could sense it in your video.

hey andy, does your new engine give your car that "herky jerky" effect in the lower gears? i thought i could sense it in your video. yepp, right off idle (cruising) is rough ... once you hit the gas, it's pulling like a freight train ... just ask rob, he was behind me on the way back to the hotel. them little 225 street tires are not enough ... i had no time to play with the engine or tweak it. fired her up for the first time friday evening and drove straight to the WCR. didn't even pack any tools ... i'll get it sorted out ...
