I thought I had a bad injector on #3. With the motor is running, when I pull the lead to #1, #2, or #4, the engine stumbles as you would expect. If I remove the connector to cylinder 3, however, nothing happens. Even though I was getting a decent spray pattern when I pulled the injector out, I decided to replace the injector. Still nothing. There IS spark at the plug. And my noid light shows that there's electrical pulses at the connector lead. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) On the back of the block, under the air cleaner, I have three pairs of white wires that are solidly grounded.
Any ideas fellas? Thanks |

It is actually easy to break a wire inside the insulator - Not that I would ever have done something like that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
Easy to check and maybe worthwhile to do just to make sure. Pull off the main connector to the ECU and measure the resistance to ground on pins 3,4,5 and 6. connected to the injectors they should all have the same low resitance - 3 ohms is what I measured on mine. Precise resistance is not important just that they are about the same. If #3 is much higher than the rest then you may have an answer. given that you have had that connector on and off a few times ... |
