I was on autotrader.com, looking at this VR6 GTI, the ad says it has a 'recon title'.
Is that the same as a Salvage Title here in Calif? Oregon teeners, please speak up. |

That's the Oregon word. Sometimes it's not too big a deal. On a 914 for example, a modest front end hit will be estimated at $3000 to fix. Insurance co. will total the car, owner or someone will buy back and repair it. Could still be a good car but will have a "recon" title for ever more.
