I just replaced the head as a result of the push rod shearing on #3, set clearance on valves starting at #1, counter clockwise 2,3,4 as per manual. hooked up plug wires and re installed. hooked up all the hoses, but it's running at a very high idle @1600. and it's running rough like a plug wire not firring. They are all in order, I checked spark on each, I checked all hoses are connected, and the idle control screw has no real effect.
When I apply throttle it chugs, but does increase RPM.
What am I missing here, I could use a few other fresh brains. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak, check your hoses again as well as your intake connections.
