i just bought 914 and have no experience on working on the 914
and it hasn't ran in 18 years and only has 69,000 original miles i need help on were to start is the engine similar to most vw or is it way different |

Second... do a search on this site and on Pelican about your engine. This is a type 4 whereas bugs are a type 1... different animals. You need to figure some things out before you go replacing things etc. Do you have the original FI or carbs? Have any modifications been done to the engine? Are all the pieces there? Answer some of those questions is a good place to get started. |
