Is the best way to remove these cable to pull from the firewall. Do you need to do them one at a time so they do not get crossed or can you remove both then install both.

Not only is it the best way, it's the ONLY way. Do 'em one at a time, and you still need to watch for tangles at the front. The Cap'n
