WOW!!! BAD ASS! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) Are those custom flares then? They look great... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif) Thanks - the body kit is from Roger Sheridan - Sheridan Motorsports. He always has an ad in the back of Excellence and is on the web ultimate914.com and I think (tho' clearly biased (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) that he has the coolest body kit for the teener. QUOTE I wish there were more wheel selections for our cars. I found that there are certain manufaturers that will make them but, you have to bring tons of money. BTW, that left rear looks like it's gonna rub... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Allen, to be honest, getting the Kodiaks was a PITA with lead time = 6-8 week lead quote turned into double that at ~17wks when I finally got them. They are pretty nice wheels tho' in the end and for the money I can't bitch too much. Not cheap, but for a 3pc racing wheel you can't beat them at ~$600 each by the time I paid import duties and shipping (they're Canadian if the whole Kodiak bear reference didn't make it obvious (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) Kinesis and so forth were well over the $3K mark of course. Sucks trying to get selection of 5 on 130mm wheels and is why I had 5 on 5 race wheels before (and they were only $500 for the set new). To get wider rubber tho' I couldn't get race wheels that I liked the looks of over 10". In the end I saved about 2-3lbs per wheel/tire combo including going from 15x8/10s to 16x10/11, but that was an ancillary benefit, I wanted the size specifically for race slick choices. As for the rub, I have my old rear spacers from the other wheels on it just to get it on the ground. I have some custom, narrower spacers being made for the rear. I am using spacers cuz I wanted to have enough backspace to be able to sell the wheels should I change my mind again (third set of wheels on the car in less than three years (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) ). That said, I have seen a lot of the 18" wheel crowd run them that close at the track on the rear and my last set were about that close and I didn't have any issues. |
