the 914 trans is technically a type 914 trans... (flipped ring gear from a 901) the type 901 trans is from the early 911's the internal parts will interchange, but the transmissions will not I'm sure you could find another 901 already set up to drop in your 914 for less ... and closer to home too? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) My '66 912 has a 4-speed 901 ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... and Nadella shafts (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Some 4-speeds have LSDs too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Attached image(s) ![]() |
