Alright, I figured that I could start my own little thread documenting my progress on my newest toy. I am hoping to get this together with pics and descriptions of what is going on. Let's start with the before (beginning).
I have a friend that had been trying to sell this Porsche 914 for a while, I was helping him to find a buyer, but we weren't having much luck. He had applied for a job with Homeland Security (Border Patrol) and didn't really want to take it with him ( He had begun a hobby of building custom choppers). Well, at the end of October he got the call that he was hired and that he had to move in a week!!!
So I decided to take him out for a going away party, I got to the local watering hole first. He walks in, sits down, I buy him a drink and we start talking. He then out of nowhere says, " So do you want that Porsche??" I said, " Of course I do, but what's the price sticker on it??" He said, " I gotta get rid of it now, so $100 and it's yours!" Needless to say, I damn near broke my finger reaching into my pocket for the money!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
The rest is History. Now for the pictures..
These first ones are of the vehicle as it was when I bought it. It really hadn't been driven in about 2 years cuz he started to repair the rust. (In case you didn't notice, I live in Wisconsin (Green Bay))

Well, that's it for now. Now the fun begins (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
I talked to my uncle, who has a sandblasting cabinet, he said that I can use it to do my small parts, so I will probably do the tins this weekend while he's out of town.
I really need a list!!! I'm jumping all over the place on this thing!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)
As always, any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated and heavily encouraged!!
