As I am customizing my project car I am going to put better seats in it. I have seen S2000 seats in a teener and they looked good but the owner said it was a tight fit. I see all types of aftermarket seats on ebay in the $300-$500 range after shipping but will they sit too high?
914 seats are very low to the floor and being 5'11" I don't want to look at the windshield frame when I drive. Who else has put something else in a 914 and how do they work? |

I could probably get them to pass if I had the seat bottom reupholstered with a sub strap hole or went to 6 point harnesses, since the shoulder harnesses are held over my shoulders by the head rest posts....but I don't care...
I am not going to be doing any TTs this year with the car. I will just DE with some other Norcal groups. I am an instructor with TMR so I might do some events with them or CDS. I refuse to run 3 point belts in a 914 on the track, so I am boycotting my own series this year...more of a statement to PCA National. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I am concentrating on AX this season...attempting to put my little Puttputt into the top 10 this year, on a regular basis. I like the seats since they look very period correct...I am going to be removing the backpad and rubber mat, and carpet with Perlon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
