As I am customizing my project car I am going to put better seats in it. I have seen S2000 seats in a teener and they looked good but the owner said it was a tight fit. I see all types of aftermarket seats on ebay in the $300-$500 range after shipping but will they sit too high?
914 seats are very low to the floor and being 5'11" I don't want to look at the windshield frame when I drive. Who else has put something else in a 914 and how do they work? |

Peter The LeMans seat does fit the backpad, and it does travel all the way back into the recessed area. At 6'4" yes the LeMans may be a little tall for you. The reason being the way the seats mount in the 914. You have the mount that angles up and down , then you have the slider assembly, that the seat moves forward and backward on.
Both of these add height to the seat when installed. How do you fit in a stock 914 seat, with the bottom pad in place?? Craig C. Laughlin |

Its not very comfortable for the street. Does the lemans seat have the same butt width as the Forza or is the Nurburgring seat a closer comparison? I noticed there web site says the Lemans has 12.2" of butt space versus the Nurburgring has 13.4" of butt space. I also had the Konig seat in the past and it was to tight in the butt area, but it fit into the back pad. |
