I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts. I am in the midsts of restoring my teener, and have been degreasing the engine compartment and the wheel wells, after fixing major rust. I have the rear suspension out as well. I was thinking of blacking out the wheel wells, and possibly painting the entire engine compartment like a nuetral gray. The reason for this is that I don't know exactly what color I am going to paint the body, although it will be a metallic blue (a color change from green, but I don't care). If anyone has any thoughts or pics to share of compartments that are not body colored, but still professional looking, please post. I was also thinking or brushing on paint in the wheel wells, that way it would go on a little thicker. Any suggestions? What does everyone think, can you still look professional, and show-car worthy without the compartment matching?
