While working on the car the last few days, decided to get a better look at the 4 red wires that bolt to the positive battery clamp. Sure glad I did. I had looked at them a few years ago and thought they were OK. Looked yesterday and two of the four had about half of the strands of wire broken, effectively halving the wire size and current capability. Luckily I had some heat-shrink and uninsulated lugs to repair them with. Repaired all four with the new lugs, soldered them, and heat- shrinked. Looks so much better now.
