I pulled my stock heat exchangers from my 1.8 today to replace with SSi's.

I was curious on the weights and port diameters. Here is what I found out.

Ports at the muffler end same dia. Ports at the head are just slightly bigger on the SSi's.

Stock: 15.65 lbs short side and 16 lbs long side. Total 31.65 lbs

SSi: 10.42 lbs short side and 10.7 lbs long side. Total 21.12 lbs

Savings of 10.5 lbs off the butt of the car ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Next Bursch vs stock muffler.
