Looking at a fairly clean 914 for a project, pans, trunks, door handle area, jambs and sail panels all look good. Hell Hole has rust. 2 in slot hole on left side of long and maybe 2-1/2 in slit on the right side. On the left I believe it's just perforated into the area just below the shelf. On the right side I can put my fingers in and curl them to the left towards the driver side. I believe my fingers may be inside the long here.

I'm not afraid to do a little cutting and welding but I don't want to waste my time if it's too far gone. What do ya'll think?
