to help dialing in the mixtures and cooling airflows on the new engine i'm planning to run A cylinder head temp guage. 6 is right out. for wire bundle purposes, something on the 1-2-3 bank is preferred - and i figure that side ought to be the hotter of the two, judging from the fan orientation. and i'll probably run it in #2 just for simplicity.

but the 911 spark plug is pretty deep inside the cam box / head and i wonder about running the CHT lead down there.

is there another sensor besides the spark plug washer style?
which of the 6 cylinders actually runs hottest, all other factors being equal ?
