I need to replace the rusted out muffler on my 76 2.0, and have been considering the Ansa mufflers, primarily due to affordability. I note that the vendor websites indicate that my car would use the dual tip system, exiting from the left. However, I see that there are quad-tip Ansa mufflers for sale by individuals that (I think) would also bolt right in. I like the looks of the quad-tips, but am not positive that they would fit, since the vendors don't specify them for this car.
My car is missing the rear valance, and I was wondering if the 1976 valance only had a cutout on the left side. Would a different valance be needed?
I would prefer a quiet muffler over a loud one, if that makes a difference.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
