The connector for the cold start valve was melted and burnt, the wire covers were burnt off about an inch beyond the connector cover. Seems like at some point it shorted out. No other visible damage beyond that area. The car (when I got it) had the motor out and I've been slowly redoing mechanics, suspension, brakes, etc., and general resto stuff. Since I've no idea about the condition of anything other than what my eyes can see I'm wondering if the ECU could be damaged? Second question is if there is any way to test the ECU? Thanks, Len |
