I'm getting ready for a clutch cable tube repair so I'm working on getting the tunnel cleared off. Getting the factory console off is pretty easy except for one little thing - how do I get the red heater knob off so I can get the bottom of the console out? The knob won't fit through the slot (I've tried to see if there was that much give) so the knob's got to come off, but no amount of prying will get it to move. I for sure don't want to damage it. Anyone have any ideas?
FWIW, it's about 45°F outside today, but I figure the heater knob is probably 32°F at best since the car is in my north-facing carport and never gets any direct sunlight. Plastic is definitely not malleable in these temps. |
