The Petit LeMan's saw an epic result yesterday as after 8 hours of driving in the rain at GTLM car won the overall!!
Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet drove the Factory 911 GT3 RSR to an improbable overall victory over the Daytona Prototypes. Nick Tandy was also part of the team that won the 24 Hours of LeMans this June in the 919. Late in the race Tandy took over the wheel in 4th and drove past a slew of cars making them look like they were standing still!! This included some Daytona Prototypes. One of the most impressive drives I have ever witnessed. The car with the Michelin Full Wet's on was absolutely glued to the pavement. as more cars spun off they went to a Red Flag and as it got darker and visibility was minimal they called it. The conditions were much like the condition at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2014 where Jules Bianci in the Marussia lost his life. Better to anticipate a tragedy, then to react after someone gets hurt real bad or dies. Great Drive Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet!!! Vysoc (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) |
