The mechanic is starting to piece things back together, and one of them being the new gas turbine heater which is somewhat temporarily mounted under the glove box, but had a question as to whether or not to plumb the heat into the one end of the valve, in the cowl area, and then cap off, say, the driver's side.

I don't know if he is correct, but he thought that the fresh air blower would mix the cool air with the hot air, but I thought that is what all of those controls on the dash were for, in that to separate things??
