OK, my next project is to service the transmission in the 74. (Sitting on the floor of my garage.) I want to drain and add new fluid. Can anyone tell me what size allen head driver I need to remove the plug? I assume I then turn the tranny over on its side to drain? What and how much should I refill the tranny with? Finally, the plastic bushing where the shift rod connects to the tranny looks OK, should I replace it, and if so, bronze or plastic? Last question, the transmission mounts are probably original, I have heard that it is less expensive to replace with 911 motor mounts. True or urban myth? Thanks.
