I changed the oil in the 914-6 2.7 conversion last night.

- 5+ quarts drained from the engine
- 12+ quarts drained from the oil tank (Mark Stephens tank)

I was told that only about 2 quarts should be in the engine sump. Is 5 quarts too much? Is this an indication of a problem? I do have a front oil cooler with no thermostat.

This is only my second oil change on a Porsche 6 cylinder engine. I don't remember that much oil draining out of the engine.

Thanks

Eddie
