Engine configuration is stock with D-Jet except 2056cc and Elgin 330-1 cam.
I bought a pair of rebuilt 2.0 stock heads (seller says rebuilt by Brothers I think in Riverside) and only one head has a vent tube. I've read Len's article on not venting the heads. So here are my questions: 1) Should I have a machinist install a vent tube in the other head even if I don't use it and just plug it? 2) Is anyone running a stock engine with no head vents or head vents plugged? If so, any difference in performance. Gets back to question 1, if I'm not going to use it I'd rather not drill and plug a hole. 3) If I use the heads as is, does it matter which side I put the vented head (even if it's plugged)? 4) Is there an application where only one head vent tube is used? Thanks |
