Bonsoir,
I bought in France a few monthes ago an import from US 2.0 GA. Great car, rust free, dolphin green but re painted but Ray Charles or Stevie in red. I started a big service of the car to fix all the small PB it has. First one is a very high idle. Throttle seems to be a very high mileage one, there are some spaces between the buterfly and the body. This is perhaps why the hole in the butterfly is closed by a screw in it. With the idle air screw fully closed, idle is at 1600, turning the screw operate on the idle, but could only make it higher. Tomorrow I will check ignition timing. It seems to me there is no air leak, the only one is across the buterfly play. Is it a common fail ? Should I re-put the screw in the hole ? Thanks CheeRS |
