Hello 914 Friends,
Thank you very much on my 1975 Porsche 914 1.8l engine drop and suggestions so far! I live in Yorba Linda, CA The good news, engine & trans out of car. Now next steps. The bad news, chunk of brass gear came out of transmission when draining oil. Suggestions/referrals are welcome ! 1. Quality 901 Transmission shop in Orange County Area? Rebuild costs? 2. Engine Machine Shops (and what to have done) 3. Vendors to buy parts from? Who to avoid. 4. Please advise (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Next the engine: Looking to do rebuild the engine, do performance upgrades, correct known problem issues, find a high quality machine shop for balancing, what should I do on building a larger engine, where to get high quality parts, this is going to be street driven, what size cylinders and crank, brands, who to avoid, you name it! 96 x 78 ? or? Thank you everyone in advance! Ken |
