EDIT: this is a major fail. first of all, I am thinking that the original trim is chrome not anodized aluminum? .... could someone verify please? comments appreciated
Also, sanding and polishing does work but no where near the original finish it looks aluminum instead of chrome when polished: I am now questioning whether or not to order the URO part because it might not be correct. I installed a new main targa seal today, however I noticed that the run channels/attaching rails ... not sure the precise name are very scratched .. the part #s are URO 91453182311 A-Post Seal Attaching Rail, Left Forward, and URO 91453182411 A-Post Seal Attaching Rail, Right Forward They appear to be anodized aluminum not chrome but wondering if these could actually be polished to get rid of fine scratches? If so, how? perhaps a dremel and X? with some compound? |
