Thought of this when taking my seats in and out of my car while reupholstering (BTW thank you VERY much Ian Kerr for your great videos on reupholstering). Was getting tired of the damn adjusting bar dropping every time I lifted a seat while the rails were still on. I'm sure others have experienced this.

Solution - get a one and a quarter inch washer and insert it in the rail track below the adjusting bar. Problem solved. Just remember to remove it when reinstalling the seat.
