My car came with this ridiculous and heavy (22 lbs) tow bar assembly mounted under the nose. I put up with it for over ten years, hitting innumerable curbs, driveway dips, and parking space stops and today I finally removed it.

My question now is, how do you safely pull a 914 from the front onto the bed of a flatbed truck (which were the only instances I ever used the tow bar for)? Where should a tow guy attach his chains/straps underneath safely, where nothing will break, to winch the car forward onto the truck?

Thank you.
