Hi, all.

I pulled my hand brake to park on a hill. When I pulled it up, the button, shaft, and spring shot out like a rocket. No more hand brake! Started looking closer at it and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to fix or replace it - the brake is riveted to the tub and the fatigued shaft just gave up the ghost.

What options do I have here?

It's a '74, if that matters.
