The heat exchanger jackets on my exhaust are rusted and loose while the exhaust pipes seem fine. I'm thinking of just removing them with a cutoff wheel to eliminate the rattling. The heater valves are 53 years old and work about as well as you would think. Don't really need them here in SoCal. Is there a cap for the cooling fan outlets to the heat exchangers or do I need to fabricate something? If I can contain that cooling airflow, I would imagine that the engine cooling will be a bit more effective.
