I recently acquired a Craftsman stacker tool box and 2 fire proof (?) bank quality heavy duty 3 drawer file cabinets.
I was able to open 2 locked drawers on one of the 3 drawer cabinets using the small nail clipper file trick. The other 3 drawer cabinet had a key for the 2 lower drawers but the upper drawer is open but the lock is stuck in the locked position. the lower key fits in the lock but won't turn it and the nail clipper file trick didn't work on it. The Craftsman upper box top lid lock has no key and is sort of stuck in an almost locked position. The nail clipper file didn't work on it either. I don't need any of these to lock, just need to open them up / make sure they don't latch accidently and can't get them open. I'd be OK if I could drill out the locks and open and close them with a screwdriver. Any tips, tricks, advice would be appreciated.   |
