Porsche and the VW Audi group, sometimes 'Run whatca brung works best; 962C with 928 door lock mechanism . Weissach race engineers choice of this part : Why invest / re-invent a perfect mouse trap ? !
In the 1970's I sourced the T4 valve covers from the VW dealer >> part of our MSDS T4 turbo kits. We added an A/N #12 oil drain to the lower v/cover , included in the kits (full bolt-on).
Porsche dealer = same part at 2x cost, love the OE parts sharing .
