AI Assistant Options

Following all the AI hype, I decided to create an AI assistant specifically for my 928 and 914. Unfortunately, I can't upload excel and json files here because it is not supported format, here are the links to the files:

How it works:
config.json is the main file. This is where I give the AI instructions on how I want it to answer my questions. It also contains links to general documents that may be relevant to various Porsche models, such as the Mobil 1 general motor oil reference.
Below that is a section listing service providers, followed by parts information, including preferred brands and suppliers.
Each Porsche model has its own JSON file Porsche_928.json and Porsche_914.json. It starts with some general information about my car, followed by maintenance records. It then references the PET, Shop Manual, and other documentation in provided links.
At the end of each model file are sections for work records, parts, and knowledge sources.
A note about the documents: The documents specified by the links are readable by Claude, but ChatGPT will not be able to read them from those links. I used GitHub to store the files, but you can use anything that is publicly accessible, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Or you can simply reuse my links.
If you want to add more documents to the knowledge base, you can create your own publicly accessible link or send the file to me and I'll upload it and post an updated version. The files need to be in PDF format. Scanned image PDFs won't work.
You can use this from either your computer or your phone. I uploaded all the files to my phone and added them to Claude. One other limitation: Excel files won't be readable from the links because Excel files are stored as binary files. You'll need to manually upload those files to Claude same as jsons files.

What I do
Upload the files to my phone (see screenshots).
Open Claude, hit '+' and load the files.

Enter the following instructions:
I am working on an intake refresh for my 1987 Porsche 928 S4 (US, Automatic).
Before answering any questions:
Read the JSON files, with config.json first. This is the main file.
Follow all instructions referenced in config.json.
Load and use any JSON files and documents specified there.
Base your answers on the referenced documentation whenever possible. If the required information is not available in those documents, use reliable online sources.

When answering technical questions:
Provide Porsche OEM part numbers whenever applicable.
Include torque specifications in all units Nm, ft-lb, and inch-lb as different torque wrenches may use different units
Specify fastener sizes, thread specifications, sealants, lubricants, and special tools when relevant.
If there is uncertainty or conflicting information, explain the differences and cite the source used.
Unless I request otherwise, assume all questions relate to this specific vehicle.

That's basically it. The idea is to give the AI a structured knowledge base about the specific car, rather than starting from scratch every time.
I'm still experimenting with it, but so far it's been pretty useful for working through the 928 documentation and keeping track of the car's history, parts, repairs, and other information.
