has anyone ground down or even offset ground the rod journals on their crank to use other rod choices?? ive heard of rabbit and toyota rods being used in a type 4.

These SCAT scirroco rods are 299.00, and are 470 gram H beam 1.992 journal size.... not that much under a stock 2L journal...
