Oil Accumulation in Shift Linkage Boot?

Senior Member Group: Members Posts: 680 Joined: 14-April 05 From: Cleveland, OH Member No.: 3,933	Just removed the rear shift linkage boot on the rear of the tranny and it was full of oil. Seemed like oil, not tranny fluid - is this normal?
