So surfing around on the Miata Forum (sure to get a few flames), I noticed a write up on a 139dB very compact air horn that is popular with that crowd. It is used mainly by motorcyclist, but popular to use with many smaller sporting cars. The miata crowd wire it up directly without the use of a relay and it seems to work great.
I ordered one to try out, but thought I would ask for any 914 users feedback on this item. Stebel Nautilus Air Horn...... Thoughts? Attached image(s)
