Big truck bring 2.0 today. I like big truck. I will be subbing out the rebuild effort using local talent. I want to end up with a street quick 2056 or maybe 2270. I know this rebuild will not be cheap but have the funds allocated to do this right and am ready to go (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif) I have questions and would appreciate any advice gained from member experiences.
1. First of all, will the 2270 be worth the extra coin? 2. FI vs carb? 3. Dynamic balancing, yes or no? 4. What options do you have in head rebuilds? 5. Will my 1.7 tranny bolt right up? 6. Are there "trick" tranny's reasonably priced that correct funky shifts? 7. What cam to be hot but street? 8. What else should I be asking about? 9. Fancy pants pistons or not nickasil, etc.? 10. What will this cost me, ballparks gratefully accepted? Also want to know how soon is reasonable for professionals to complete this job? Not that I am in a big hurry, just want to know what to expect. |
