so now it starts.
the timing is right(27-28BTDC at 3500rpm) the fuel pressure is right 30-32ish. the idle mixture is all the way lean. what we did was start it. time it set FP and then it was idling way way too low 400 or so. at the point it was hot oil temps of about 180-190 i came in for a break and to regroup to decide what i would do to tackle the low idle problem. i go back out. remove the FP gauge. and start it. it revs to 5K and settles at 4200. i then check all vaccume lines(all good). then try again. same deal as before. i then turn the screw on the FP regulator CCW(lower pressure right?). then try again. same thing. no effect. now im here. any ideas? i am a 2056 with a tuned MPS for the RAT 9550 8.5:1 compression. nothing too special. please please help! this is about 15 months of work. and i hope to have it running for my girlfriend's graduation on saturday. please help me run down this problem!! -jim |
