I am restoring a 1973 914 six conversion and when I removed the front suspension the threaded bushing fell out of the suspension mounting plate. The other bushings appear to be Ok but I really am not sure how the factory intended for these bushings to be held in since I don’t see any significant weld marks.
My question is has anyone else ever had this happen and how should I go about installing this bushing so it doesn’t ever fall out again? Jeff B. Attached image(s)
