So, a long time ago...probably 4 years anyways...I did the fix to the speedo to get the odometer and trip meter working again...
I took it apart, supposedly fixed the gear etc..did everything I was supposed to do. At that time, I got it all back in place and the main odometer did not work. The trip meter worked, and the speedo worked, so I said fine and left it alone. I use the trip meter to watch my fuel and make sure I dont run out of gas...I dont trust the gas guage. So, bouncing back from Hershey...and there were some classic Northeast speed bumps (frost heaves) on Rt 78 heading east that knocked out my radio, a few fuses, my GPS fell off the windshield etc etc... It was bumpy. BUT.. My main odometer now works again...its been 5 years with nothing..now it work. I am happy I could fix it, it just took a long time. Rich |
