The 1970 914 I just bought has the old (1980 ?) BBS "honeycomb" style wheels. The rim is polished aluminum and the honeycomb section is a flat white. The white is chipped off in places, and there's gold underneath on the rears and silver on the fronts. I never remember seeing white ones. So, I'm wondering if these were repainted by a previous owner, or did BBS actually offer white ones? Also looking for any suggestions on touching up that flat white...almost an egg shell off white...like dull chalk.
