Please pardon my ignorance. My brother is deaf and internet limited in another state with his cars and I'm posting for him but I don't know what he's really talking about. I find information for him from time to time, that's how it goes. He's restoring a 911 and a 914 and this is big stuff to him and me.
He has a tail shift tranny out of his 914. He needs to install another tranny he has, a side shift tranny. So the transmission going back into the car is a side shift but the car is set up for a tail shift. - - - What does he need to adapt the car to the new tranny? - - - Are there conversion kits for installing side shift trannies? Where do I go for those? - - - Which threads on this site are helpful? (I used search, but don't know what I'm really looking for.) I PM'ed Mr. Evil who seems like a go-to guy. Thanks everybody.
