Nice to know it is archived. There are a lot of links to the original site that I see popping up now and then. That site was my first hangout.

I think that Dave Darling was active on this page? He was my 1st contact in the USA and he answered lots of my newbie questions...

Yeah, I was a little bit active at that point.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (Spent lots of time on that site while "at work", happily I could still get my work done!)

I love the link to "A Darling 914 Story".

Maybe Dave Darling's first post???

Nope, not mine. I never did understand why they titled it that--I don't even think the owner's name was Darling?

If we're going down memory lane, how many of you were members of the old 914-6 Club back in the 70s. I still have the decal on my back window!

That 914 site was a great one. First one I found too. Be interesting to trace what happened to those cars that were for sale.

Well, I was... I remember that link used to go to the story of someone who had been in the Navy and got a 914, but was serving on board a ship and had only gotten to drive it a few times??? But that is certainly my own write-up! I remember those times of disassembling the motor quite vividly... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I started off on roadglue. That is where I found my current car. I think roadglue went away for a while, that is when I went over to the club, then here.

I loved that site, too. I remember finding it using the magellan search engine... after I bought my first 914 in 1996. Not sure how long after, though.

The funny thing is that the trophy referenced on the page is still in existence - and still being used. We awarded it (in absentia) at the Rocket City Ramble!
