Glad to have you onboard! Congrats on your great car. Here are a few sites that may give you some interesting reading.

If you plan on racing the car you'll get some flavor for that on the 914 World "Paddock: forum. That's for racing specific topics. You may already know these but here are a few resources for places to both shop and read.

The Official Porsche Online "PET" parts catalog. Many people still sell this and it's often pirated, but it's available to us all online for free. choose your 914 (or whichever car you are lookng for) and cruise through it. It's good for a couple of reasons. It lets you look at parts blow-ups and it gives you part #s if you have to order something. Since it's run by Porsche, most part numbers are either correct (updated) or they are close enough to find what you need.

Pelican Parts: Great Resource for both parts and technical articles:

Serial Numbers:

Here's a look at lots of 914 mods for racing, including the 916 and 914-6 GT stuff, like the 916 transmission.

Patrick Motorsports is a good resource for racing mods.

Used parts (not the only places): Parts Heaven and Oklahoma Foreign

CV joint information: Lot's of info here that will demystify the articles on this forum about CV Joint replacement if you plan to convert to a 5-lug car.

Then you can start here and go on with many articles about it in the archived threads in this forum (Lapuwali).

Wow awesome links!

The chassis is straight and pretty solid, so that's set. I have inspected it and nothing needs immediate attention except a new trailing arm.

I didn't buy it, traded it for a Miata.
