So I stumbled across this upcoming swap meet on Craigslist this week. If anyone has been to past swap meets, is it worth the trip down to Seattle to check it out? It's close to a 2 hour drive for me.

On another note, anyone here planning on going to it already?

Chris I'll probably go this year, some good deals can be had, sometimes lots
of parts for 914 and other years not. Best to get there early and look

I have been the last 4 years. It can be hit or miss and good stuff often goes early. Seems like there is less stuff every year, but maybe I'm just getting there later and missing out on some items. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) The nice thing is that there always seems to be at least a few 914s in the parking lot, and I've met a few 914 guys there that have helped me with parts/info.

I say you should attend, especially if you're driving your 914 down. Spending two hours driving in a 914 isn't a bad thing!

Generally a great swapmeet. I think I will be going but I'm not too sure if I'll have anything to swap. I will be driving my 914 if it is not raining though:D

Cool. I will probably plan on heading down there then. I called a friend tonight about it as well, it sounds like he may be coming .....though he may be bringing the Land Rover instead of the 914 or 911. He said something about a chance to clean out his garage.......

If the weather co-operates I'll be bombing down in the teener. Actually drove it exclusively last weekend. Time for an oil and plug change. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'll be there too. I've got this CIS I don't need and figured it would be a good place to find a new home for it.

I agree with rjames, it does seem like the last couple of years have had a smaller turnout. Get there early, good stuff goes quick.

Same impression here.... seems like it has dwindled a bit.

First year I went I sold more than I bought. Another time a guy drove his bus down from Canada... bus with a six in it! Sweet. Jenny & then-fiance made it one year and joined us at Wingdome (I'll dig up a pic tonight).

Grab Rob's pom poms, do a little cheerleading, show up early if you're looking for parts, set up a Wingdome lunch with fellow teeners, and it will be a worthwhile time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Some of the 914ers at Wingdome after swapmeet, I think this was 2006.
How many do you recognize? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
