Anyone know of a good quality low cost supplier for 3" stainless U-bends and V-band flanges?

Thanks

I was initially hesitant to deal with this place - mostly because of the name! But nice product. The SS (fully machined) V-band clamps are excellent quality, and nice mandrel SS bends at good prices. Just used these to start putting together my exhaust system (post turbo). Fast shipping too - I usually get stuff within a couple days of ordering (DC/Balto metro area).

Almost went with MBS stuff... but then saw a close up of the style of V-band clamp they offer - not what I was looking for.

Nice! Where did you get that 5 bolt garret outlet to v-band flange?

Don't think it's a Garret? Stock TD04 WRX turbo - think it's a Mistu?
Anyway, the trick exhaust outlet flange/transition was made by an outfit called Zero Tolerance Speed and Fabrication, which appears to be no longer around. It was a custom built piece, to my specification, which they intended to market. Alas, I guess there weren't enough interested takers for it (or the other products they offered) to keep the business going. The machine work and fit-up is flawless!
I adapted the transition attached to it (with O2 sensor bung) up to the V-Band.

This place looks OK too. Thought I'd throw it out for opinions.

Ahhh from afar that looked like a 28rs with a 5bolt housing.

Almost the same. Still looks better than the 5bolt to 3" v-band I have on my GTi.

Flow = serious gains in turbo land.

I can't find any pics of mien atm.

That does look pretty nice, especially for the price. I'm still partial to the Vibrant/Verocious version though (never knew there were soooo many different styles and designs of V-band clamps!) - Vibrant uses an interlocking inner ring that self-aligns the flanges during assembly, and creates more of a labyrinth type seal. Don't see this on the ATP flanges? They're a few more $$ though, so guess one has to decide where the money/feature tradeoff is most important!

Burns as well as SPD are definitely at the top of the exhaust vendor heap - both in quality and expense! However, SPD is more convenient to you West coast guys (than here in the East). When only the best will do.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Good point. On closer inspection that price was for mild steel as well as no interlocking detail.

Here's some more links:
http://www.racepartsolutions.com/ - Lots of stuff here at good prices.

http://www.globaltecheng.com/Product...?idCategory=31 - These guys are limited to 90 and 45 degree bends.
