(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) with all of the above.... & specifically for tech docs: http://bowlsby.net/914/Classic/TechNotebook.htm Also good info at p914.com AA's "700 Tips" book for the 914 is a good reference, along with the Haynes 914 shop manual & AA sells the full 8-9 vols. Shop manual on CD/DVD for $36 IIRC. |

Agree, Pelican site go to Tech Tips and then narrow the search to 914 and the area of concern. They give detailed instructions with pictures. I just used them to install an Ignition Switch in the steering column. Haynes was worthless info. for this fix. Also if your reading this message you're already in the site that is the very best place for help. 914world.com, go to the Garage Forum |

I will be the first to mention it. Hopefully it's not banned. autoatlanta.com has all the IPB's for the 914.

One note: Not all of the Pelican articles apply to all years. Some of the information is specific to whatever year 914 the author was working on when he wrote up the article. (See: Ignition switch; the procedure as written is for the 72-74 914s only, because the 70-71 switches are different and the 75-76 switches are also different.)
Usually checking instructions for the wrong year will get you close enough to figure out the rest on your own, but sometimes the remaining steps are not obvious. --DD |
